Greetings,phsclass1995@bellsouth.net that we can post their name on Our Site as well put it in our Reunion publication. We are also interested in those who have served and have gotten out because their service is just as important!! Please send that information as well. Please include the branch of service and the dates enlisted if known.
As you may have guessed several of our classmates are soldiers in the United States Military. If you are, or know anyone who will be shipping out before the ReUnion Please Email their name at Our Prayers and Thanks and go out to them for their service!!! We will be putting together care packages for some of the soldiers: We are asking that as you travel to the ReUnion this Labor Day weekend, that you pick up a few items that may make these dedicated soldiers’ lives a little easier as they travel far from home to defend Us all. When selecting Items keep in mind that the travel space of the soldiers is limited. Also consider that they may spend long amounts of time in airports. Small Personal items are ideal as with small item they are able to keep them, with them to pass the time. Lets try to make these care packages as personal as possible, you cannot imagine the feeling that one gets when they realize that everyone cares for, and appreciates them for their service. Try to include some local flavor, we will provide some highschool memorabilia, and lots of love and good cheer. Here are some items recommended by the "Volunteers of America": Personal-sized Toiletries Lip Balm Books Magazines Local Newspapers Phone cards Crossword Puzzle/ Word search Books Personal Thank You Cards or Letters Post Cards & Stationary Blank Note Cards Disposable Camera Handheld Games Playing Cards Sunflower Seeds Cookies/Crackers Snack Items Nuts Beef Jerky Hard Candy & Gum Are just a few things to keep in min. Thank you so much for your help!! We look forward to seeing you at the Reunion! (International as well as Long Distance) |
